The Austin ZEALOTS will not meet at the Gingerman this month to make way for our annual picnic. It will be at Emma Long City Park. So pack up the babies, grab the ol' ladies and everyone goes . .  . to Emma Long park for the Austin ZEALOTS annual outdoor extravaganza!!! Bring a keg of homebrew, a bag of ice, and a side dish (keep bottles hidden as they are illegal).  Look for the ZEALOTS flag flying off of a vehicle along the road for our picnic location.  Dogs are welcome as well, however per park rules must be on leash. Certain ZEALOTS may need leashes as well by dark. Woof, woof, woof! We­ will start eating at 1PM and everyone is encouraged to bring a side dish and a bag of ice. The food theme will be announced later in the year. The Austin ZEALOTS Homebrew Inquisition results will be announced at the picnic after lunch about 2PM. Awards will be issued and pictures taken so be forwarned. Your photo will be posted on our gallery for everyone to see. Bring your bathing suit, canoes and fishing poles if you want to enjoy the lake which is just steps away. The water in Lake Austin is cool and refreshing on a hot summer day. Or bring a lawn chair, lounge under the shade of the many trees, trade lies with your fellow ZEALOTS. Of course, if you have one too many and pass out in the woods you will end up on our gallery like this poor soul did. Lost Guy The park closes for day use at 10PM (they lock the gate and you will not be able to drive out till 7 am). Overnight stayers will need to make reservations via the website above for a campsite well in advance. The style for the picnic will be Lawnmower Beers/Free for All but as always, if you don't have the style - bring what you have. Come join the fun! See you there!
